About Hallermann Consulting

One person, direct contact, practical technical work.

Hallermann Consulting is my one-person consultancy. If you get in touch, you deal with me. If we work together, I do the work and I stay responsible for it.

Who am I?

I’m Patrick Hallermann. I have worked in IT since 1995, long enough to have seen plenty of technologies arrive with big promises and disappear again. I still enjoy the work, but I am much more interested in whether something is useful than whether it is fashionable.

I’m a solopreneur, not an agency and not a team presented as something larger than it is. Hallermann Consulting gives me a way to bring together the work I’m good at: websites, technical problem-solving, useful content, systems, and practical automation for smaller businesses.

What does personal service mean here?

Client care and client contact are not jobs I hand to automation. I use good tools behind the scenes where they save time or improve the work, but I do not want a client relationship run by a bot, an automated sales sequence, or a maze of ticket numbers.

You should be able to ask a question in normal language, know who is responsible, and get a straight answer. If I think something is unnecessary, too complicated, or simply not worth your money, I will say so.

What kind of work do I take on?

Most of my work sits around small-business websites and the systems connected to them: building or improving a site, making services easier to understand, maintaining the technical side, creating useful content, and simplifying repetitive work where automation genuinely helps.

I like projects where the objective is clear and the solution can stay understandable. I am not interested in selling an oversized system when a smaller fix will do the job.

How do I use AI and automation?

I use AI as a working tool for research, development, testing, analysis, and repetitive technical tasks. I also build automation where there is a sensible business case for it. But automation should remove unnecessary work, not remove judgment, responsibility, or the human relationship with a client.

That distinction matters to me. A business can use modern technology without pretending every conversation, decision, and service interaction should be automated.

Why work this way?

After three decades around IT, I have learned that the difficult part is rarely finding another tool. It is understanding the actual problem, choosing an appropriate solution, making it work reliably, and leaving the person who owns the business with something they can understand and live with.

That is the kind of consulting I want Hallermann Consulting to provide: technically capable, straightforward, personal, and small enough that responsibility never gets lost between departments.
