Responsive navigation checks across seven viewport widths

A single-site navigation repair was checked in Chromium across seven viewport widths, with separate phone, tablet and desktop visual inspection.

What was measured

Reproduced a tablet navigation overlap, repaired the breakpoint, then ran the same navigation acceptance across seven explicit browser viewport widths.

Instrument: Chromium viewport geometry, keyboard checks and rendered screenshots

Recorded findings

  1. A 768-pixel-wide browser view exposed overlapping navigation on the tested website before its navigation breakpoint was repaired.

n=1; 2026-10-03 to 2026-10-03; method: Inspected the rendered tablet view and retained a screenshot showing the header overlap before the repair.; recorded value: 768 CSS pixels of viewport width
  2. After that repair, navigation geometry and keyboard checks passed at 320, 390, 768, 1023, 1024, 1280 and 1440 CSS pixels in Chromium.

n=7; 2026-10-03 to 2026-10-03; method: Ran the bounded Chromium navigation checks at each listed width and visually inspected the phone, tablet and desktop layouts; retained test output and screenshots.; recorded value: 7 tested viewport widths

Limits and privacy

  • One website and one browser engine; viewport emulation does not represent seven physical devices.
  • The checks cover the tested navigation and layout, not a complete accessibility certification.
  • Passing these widths does not establish correctness at every possible width or zoom level.

Anonymisation: The record contains only viewport sizes, outcomes and method. Screenshots, private machine details and account identifiers are not included.
